Scotty

Scotty is a real-life rescue dog, adopted by author Tammi Janiga from Fluff Animal Rescue in 2016. Scotty was born in 2015 in Northwest Florida. He is ½ Chihuahua, ¼ Yorkie, and ¼ Miniature Schnauzer. Scotty is an energetic, fun loving dog who loves to give kisses to everyone he meets. He goes on walks every morning with his baby brother, Teddy. Scotty is extremely quick and agile. He loves to chase rabbits and squirrels in the back yard. His favorite food is homemade, Chicken Surprise.

Since Scotty has brought so much joy and love into our life, Tammi decided to write a children’s book series to share with her grandchildren. Many of the stories about Scotty are based on real life experiences. We hope you enjoy reading about Scotty's adventures. This book series hopes to inspire many children to read as well as experience the joys of owning a rescue dog. In order to give back, we are donating $1.00 for every book sold to a local dog rescue shelter. It’s our way of saying thank you to all the dog rescue staff and volunteers in finding homes for our furry friends!

Teddy also likes to get shells out of the back garden and bring them into the house. Teddy has several nick names like Teddy Bear, Polar Bear, and Beefcake. He goes on long walks every morning with his big brother, Scotty. Teddy tries to talk by using a low pitch humming noise to get your attention. His favorite food is carrots.

Teddy’s best friend is Scotty. He follows Scotty everywhere and likes to pretend wrestle with him. Teddy is always getting into trouble by chewing up things, climbing on the dining room table, or stealing our socks and shoes.  Teddy hopes you like this book series because we will donate $1.00 for every book sold to a dog rescue shelter. That helps the shelters care for dogs until they find their furever homes.

Baxter and Anjoli

Baxter and Anjoli were from a litter of 6 blue heeled mix puppies rescued with their Mom, Angel, in Alabama by Ewenity Farm Herding dog haven. They had a long journey at the age of 9 weeks crated together, separated from their family, and very scared in a van with 50 other rescue dogs to Tampa. They were inseparable, and their owners had to adopt both puppies! They now live on Davis Island, where they enjoy walking, swimming, and meeting new dogs. They herd their owners by nipping at their heels and occasionally their Mom’s bottom to get their point across. They know how to sit, down, wait for it, leave it, fetch, and are working on mastering many other commands. They live across the street from a school, and they love children. They will surely make you laugh at their puppy antics.
