About the Author
Tammi Janiga was born in Bloomington, and raised in Springfield, Illinois. Her family moved to St. Louis, Mo. when she was 13 years old. Tammi married a marketing executive and has moved around the country for his career. She has lived in Kansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas, Minnesota, and Florida. The best way she could adapt was to jump right in and participate in community clubs and classes. Upon moving to Dunedin, Florida, Tammi adopted a small black dog at a rescue event in the spring of 2016. She quickly learned he had a joy for life like no other dog she had ever owned. An artist by trade in advertising, photography, and illustration, Tammi started writing children's books to amuse and teach her grandchildren about fun outdoor activities and traveling. Many of the stories are Tammi's real-life experiences, portrayed by Scotty, the rescue dog along with his canine friends.
